Construction

 

Our lawyers advise and represent clients on all aspects of complex construction projects including residential and commercial projects. Services include negotiating, preparing and reviewing the initial contract documents, dealing with municipalities and provincial authorities, dealing with general contractors and sub-traders and resolving disputes through negotiations and/or mediation. If necessary and unavoidable, we also represent clients at the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia. We act for owners, developers, general contractors and sub-trades.

Closely tied to construction law are proceedings under the Builders' Lien Act of Nova Scotia and our lawyers have a long and varied experience in representing clients under the Builders' Lien Act including representing owners and registering and enforcing builders' liens on behalf of general and sub-contractors.
